Abstract:
This research aims to verify, from a qualitative and interpretative analysis, the execution of the proposal for the linguistic knowledge presented by the National Curriculum Parameters (BRASIL, 1998) in the collection of Portuguese Language Textbooks: Languages (2015), by authors William Roberto Cereja and Thereza Anália Cochar Magalhães. In order to observe how the linguistic analysis practice for the contents 'Linguistic Variation', 'Lexicon' and 'Spelling' is approached in the analyzed collection, and to conclude if the activities of the selected contents contribute to the reflexive use of language, I proceeded to the analysis activities selected from the four volumes of the work and which constituted the corpus of the research. By analyzing the data, I realized that these authors still favor, with great intensity, the metalanguage, demanding from the student purely normative knowledge. Therefore, the conclusion is that, even after almost two decades of the launch of the first edition of the collection, in 1998, and even though it has undergone successive re-editions, the most recent being the 2015, there has not yet been a significant adaptation in relation to the proposal emanating from Portuguese-speaking PCNs for verified content.
