ABSTRACT:
The propose in this research is to reveal details of the professional identity constitution of 10 (ten) education managers and their interpersonal relationships in the school space, from their point of view. All participating managers are inserted in the space of Municipal Public Schools of a country town in Goiás, constituted in environments such as kindergartens and elementary schools I and II, assuming functions in the direction or coordination of school. Aimed to investigate the constitution of the professional identity and the interpersonal relationships of the education manager in the workspace, under the manager's eyes. This study addresses different methodological approaches, including the Phenomenological Paradigm of research in education, which will support this research, integrated, articulated and related with studies of the theoretical-practical field of Social Skills, Language Theory, in line with with the qualitative and quantitative analysis approaches, approaching different theoretical ones. A study that contemplates demands from the area of ​​Social Psychology and Linguistics, considering the multiple approaches that configure the scientific field in a view that is averse to homogenization. The data collection was the result of questionnaires with closed and open questions, transcripts of audio-recorded interviews and information from the managers' history, described through narrative. From the use of instruments, such as the IHS, and the self-questioning exercise, promoted by the various data collection instruments, in the dynamics offered, when proceeding to the hermeneutic circle, the managers' understanding about themselves was expanding and generating new reflections and perceptions. The study data revealed that: a) participants are not used to the reflective exercise of self-assessment, regarding the retrieval of their memories and aspects related to the professional identity constitution and their interpersonal relationships. She found at first that: b) the perception of managers regarding the constitution of their professional identity and interpersonal relationships in the workplace was very restricted. From the use of instruments, such as the IHS, and the self-questioning exercise, promoted by the various instruments for data collection, in the dynamics offered, when proceeding to the hermeneutic circle: c) the managers' understanding about themselves was if expanding and generating new reflections and perceptions. The fact they were free to express their apprehensions to the point of describing their constituent elements and their subjectivities was revealing and liberating. It suggests, as a provocation, to the educator who works in the area of ​​management, to encourage thinking in their daily practice, a daily activity of action-reflection. An intellectual exercise made possible by the scientific text.
