ABSTRACT:

The theme of this dissertation concerns the configuration of the educatiors work working in the area of ​​early childhood education (EI) in rural municipal schools of Jataí, Goiás (GO). The objectives are: to understand how the teaching work in EI has been constituted, evidencing the relationship of this worker with the work she performs; identify and understand how the mediations in the work of EI educators impact on their daily practice with children; know and analyze the teaching work, identifying the educators, their formation, performance and working conditions in the researched institutions. This is an empirical research that used questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 21 EI workers in eight rural municipal institutions. We start from a critical perspective, endorsed by Historical-Dialectical Materialism. In this perspective, it's possible, through contradiction, to apprehend the object of investigation in its specific nature, that is, the search for an understanding of the totality of the work that is done in EI. Therefore, we base our study on theoretical contributions, such as: Arce (2010); Arroyo, Caldart, Molina (2011); Lima (2010); Lukacs (1979); Marx (1978); Mészáros (2008) among other scholars. The research contributes to the production of scientific knowledge in the area of ​​Human Formation and Fundamentals of Education. The researched subjects, by participating in the research on teaching work in IS in rural schools, contribute to the development of studies and the resulting analyzes, will provide debates for Education area, as well as in the knowledge of the relationship between education and work. The research results reveal the lack of specificity to work in EI in rural schools of the municipality, such as inadequate infrastructure, presence of multigrade classrooms, lack of initial and continuing education focused on rural education, among others, facts that imply the formation human development and integral development in the education of four to five year olds in rural schools.
